‘What’s in a name?’
Axon Garden Design. For those of you wondering why I blessed a garden design business with the name Axon Garden Design.
When I first started the business 10 years ago, my wife Jill and I were discussing what I was going to call it. I was fresh out of college and full of the joys of garden design and its effects on the hairs on the back of your neck. Jill (who is from a medical background) came up with the word Axon which stuck and it helped with the listings.
What is an AXON?
Axons are in effect the primary transmission lines of the nervous system, as bundles they help make up nerves. The longest axons in the human body, for example, are those of the sciatic nerves which run from the base of the spine to the big toe of each foot.
